Graduate Student Priority Advising Schedule for Spring 2012 Semester
  • Nov 14 until 23, 2011 is the advising and preregistration period for currently enrolled graduate students at APSU for Spring 2012.
  • Classes for the Spring 2012 semester begin on January 12, 2012.
Dr. Parcells advises graduate students for theirSpring Semester 2012 registration on a first come, first served basis with appointments available between Monday, Nov. 14 and Wednesday, November 23, 2011. In order for students to be advised, students must complete the following before steps.
Undergraduate Student Priority Advising Schedule for Spring 2012 Semester
 
Dr. Parcells advises undergraduate students on a first come, first served basis between November 14 and 23, 2011. In order for a students to be advised, they must:
  • make an appointment for advising by calling this number - (931) 221.6308 during the following times: Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 to 5 PM, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 AM to 3
  • have a possible class schedule prepared for your advising applintment which includes prefix, course number, section number, title, credit hours, and CRN for all courses for all possible classes for Spring 2012 Semester.
  • have ralready done degree evaluation in APSU Self-Serve.
1. make an appointment for advising by calling this number (931) 221.6308 during the following times only: Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 to 5 PM, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 AM to 3 PM. All times are Central. OR email KNIGHTJ@APSU.EDU to set up an appointment.
 
2. advising can be done by telephone, email, or in-office. Please be certain to specify the type of advisement (phone, email, or in-office) at the time you call for your advisement appointment. Students MUST call Dr. Parcells at the time of the appointment to be advised by telephone.
GRADUATE STUDENTS MUST HAVE COMPLETED THEIR ADMISSION TO CANDIDACY AND PROGRAM OF STUDY FORM PRIOR TO ADDITIONAL ACADEMIC ADVISEMENT!
  • already have completed an admission to candidacy and program of study form, or have the form ready for completion during the advisement apppointment.
  • have decided whether to do a thesis (COMM 599A & B - 6 hrs.) or research project (COMM 5950 - 3 hours).
  • have reviewed the Spring 2012 Class Schedule in AP Self-Serve, and have an idea of which courses they wish to take.
