- Dr. Parcells Bio

- Dr. Parcells taught
at Eastern Illinois University from 1980 to 2000, at which time
he took early retirement as a Professor Emeritus. He established
an independent Internet service for his Department at EIU. Then, he and his
family moved to Clarksville, TN where he is now a Professor of
Communication at Austin Peay State University. Parcells is the Graduate
Coordinator of the M. A. program in corporate
communication
and also teaches classes in advertising, broadcast media, corporate
communication, Internet and Web technology, and public relations.

- In addition to operating
his own public relations firm since 1983 and marketing
communication agency
starting in 2001, the Internet has become a very important part
of Parcells' life. He has operated his own Internet access business
which was sold to Egix, Inc.,
a large regional Internet and telephone company serving Indiana
and Illinois, and he currently owns and operates his own Web
hosting and Internet service business, the Mid Tennessee Network.

- The International Association
of Business Communicators
and the IABC chapter in Nashville where Dr. Parcells serves
as Vice President of Events and Development. Professor Parcells
is also a member of the International Association of Webmasters,
National Communication Association, Society of Internet Professionals,
and Worldwide Organization of Webmasters. Dr. Parcells has published
many national and regional articles, made convention presentations,
and has just recently completed an Internet technology textbook.
